APESG & TUC School of International Education Joint Symposium: Advancing ESG through Industry-Academia Collaboration

In April 2025, the School of International Education Cooperation held an online symposium on ESG industry-academia-research collaborative development in Room A409 of the International Education Exchange Center. Participants engaged in in-depth discussions on enhancing collaboration in ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) and the “dual carbon” fields.

APESG Dean Joseph Mak to Address ESG Synergy for Eco-Civilization at 2025 Zhongguancun Forum

The 2025 Zhongguancun Forum Annual Conference was grandly held in Beijing from March 27 to 31. It was co-hosted by the Ministry of Science and Technology, the National Development and Reform Commission, the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council, the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the Chinese Academy of Engineering, the China Association for Science and Technology, and the Beijing Municipal Government.

As a national-level platform for international exchanges and cooperation in scientific and technological innovation, the Zhongguancun Forum has become a major global stage for science and technology collaboration, showcasing Beijing’s strong appeal as a hub of scientific and technological innovation.

The 2025 Zhongguancun Forum Annual Conference, themed “New Quality Productive Forces and Global Sci-Tech Cooperation,” featured five major sections — forum sessions, technology transactions, achievement releases, frontier competitions, and supporting activities — comprising 128 events. The conference involved more than 100 countries and regions, bringing together thousands of guest speakers to discuss how technological innovation can foster new quality productive forces and provide fresh ideas and insights for global innovation and development.
