Both the ISF® and ISB® are similarly structured in terms of career progression pathway: Level 1 (Advisor), Level 2 (Specialist) and Level 3 (Expert). This structure allows aspiring professionals to progress their ESG career from entry to expert level.

4E STANDARD

OUR CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS :

IASE follows the international best-practice “4E-Standard” for certifying the knowledge and competence of professionals. Becoming certified with IASE involves much more than passing our board exam. With IASE, you also commit to a professional attitude and practice called the 4Es Standard, to be renewed annually through a re-certification process. The 4E stands for Education, Examination, Ethics and Experience.

EDUCATION

Candidates must meet minimum academic and/or professional qualifications for each certification level.

EXAM

Achieve a passing score in our Professional Competency Examinations (commonly called “Board Exams”). We charge a fee for registering and writing the Board Exam.

ETHICS

Agree to and comply with the IASE Code of Ethics and Professional Responsibility.

EXPERIENCE

Candidates must meet the prescribed minimum level of practical experience at the different certification levels.

Academic Partners

Achieving the highest level of academic training requires a worthy partner.

IASE has implemented the Approved Training Program with the aim of evaluating and recommending quality training providers around the world to our candidates.

 

While not mandatory, IASE encourages candidates who do not already have a specific ESG qualification, or experience in the field, to consider a preparatory course offered by any of our approved academic partners to ensure a solid foundation before attempting the Professional Certification Exam.
