In 2025, the Asia-Pacific ESG Strategy Research Institute (APESG)’s mainland subsidiary – Shenzhen Liansheng Sustainable Science Research Co., Ltd. – officially became a member of the Shenzhen Green Exchange.
Shenzhen Green Exchange
The Shenzhen Green Exchange was established on October 28, 2024, formerly known as the Shenzhen Emissions Exchange established in 2010. After its approved renaming in August 2024, the institution became a comprehensive trading platform under the control of the Shenzhen Trading Group, focusing on the three major areas of green finance, green consumption, and green technology.
Shenzhen Green Exchange Co., Ltd. (formerly Shenzhen Emissions Exchange Co., Ltd., hereinafter referred to as “SZGE”) was established in September 2010 with approval from the Shenzhen Municipal Government. In August 2019, it became a holding enterprise of the Shenzhen Trading Group, and in August 2024, it was approved for renaming. After more than a decade of development, SZGE has grown into a comprehensive trading institution integrating multiple roles, including an exchange, a think tank, and a capacity-building center, focusing on various fields such as green finance, green consumption, and green technology.

As a core green financial infrastructure in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, it possesses the following unique advantages:
1.Policy High Ground: Shenzhen’s only designated carbon trading platform; National Carbon Market Capacity Building (Shenzhen) Center.
2.Market Benchmark: Liquidity has ranked first nationwide for many years; its carbon bonds, carbon asset securitization, and other carbon financial products have achieved multiple domestic firsts.
3.Greater Bay Area Hub: Leads the Guangdong-Shenzhen-Hong Kong-Macao Carbon Inclusive Collaboration; interfaces with Hong Kong’s international carbon market rules.
4.Full-chain Services: Covers carbon allowances/CCER/green bonds; provides closed-loop solutions for carbon inventory, trading, and financing.
APESG’s Practice Direction
The accreditation as a member of SZGE not only recognizes APESG’s professional capabilities and compliance standards in the field of green finance but also provides an important platform for APESG to deeply participate in domestic carbon market trading and explore innovative green financial products. This further strengthens our core advantage of “global vision with local practice.”

We will also leverage the platform of the Shenzhen Green Exchange to focus on developing the following business areas:
1.Green Investment and Financing Matchmaking in the Greater Bay Area: Link with Hong Kong’s ESG fund resources to support financing and international expansion for technology-driven low-carbon enterprises.
2.ESG Training and Certification: Collaborate with the Shenzhen Green Exchange and educational institutions nationwide to promote ESG education and training, empowering enterprises and individuals to obtain internationally recognized certifications.
3.Integrated Carbon Management Solutions: Provide enterprises with comprehensive “Dual Carbon” solutions covering strategy, compliance, and performance.
