On November 30, the inaugural “2023 Forbes China ESG Innovation Enterprises Selection” Summit and Awards Dinner was successfully held in Shenzhen. The summit brought together outstanding leaders from leading enterprises across various industries, as well as distinguished organizations and industry experts renowned for their exceptional performance in their respective fields, to jointly explore a brighter future for sustainable development.
The event commenced with an opening address by Mr. Graham Earnshaw, Chief Strategic Officer of Forbes China Group, followed by a welcoming speech by Ms. Guan Meibao, Director-General and CEO of the 2023 Forbes China ESG Innovation Enterprises Selection Committee, and Founder & Chief Executive of Amberfly Group Public Relations and Advertising Co., Ltd. Appreciation plaques were also presented to the co-organizers, including the Bohan Sustainable Development Center.
During the keynote speech segment, Forbes China invited Mr. Li Xiaojia, Founder and Chairman of Drip Capital and former Chief Executive of Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEX), along with Dr. Chen Jianxiang, Chairman of Landcent Group and member of the 7th Shenzhen Municipal Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference, to deliver keynote addresses to the attending guests.
Mr. Mai Chaojie, Executive Dean of the Asia-Pacific Institute for Sustainable Development Strategy, Partner and CEO of Bohan Sustainable Development Center, and Vice Chairman of the 2023 Forbes China ESG Innovation Enterprise Selection Committee, was invited to moderate the summit’s thematic forum “ESG Innovation Opportunities.” Together with entrepreneurs who have achieved outstanding performance in the ESG field, he explored the latest trends and corporate practices in ESG innovation and development opportunities, revealing the boundless possibilities for ESG innovation and advancement.
At the conclusion of the forum, Joseph Mak remarked that in the field of ESG, numerous enterprises have demonstrated proactive attitudes and tangible achievements in environmental protection, social responsibility, and corporate governance.
