On August 19, 2025, the 2025 International Green Build Conference (IGBC) officially opened in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia. With the theme “Adaptation Through Sustainable Innovation,” this edition of the congress was co-hosted by GreenRE and REHDA Institute and attracted exhibitor representatives from multiple countries including ASEAN nations, the UK, China, and Singapore.
The Asia-Pacific ESG Strategy Research Institute (APESG) participated in this conference as a Chinese exhibitor, jointly exploring the cutting-edge development and innovative practices in green building.

Dato’ Fadillah bin Haji Yusof, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Energy and Water Transition of Malaysia, delivered a keynote speech at the conference, emphasizing that the built environment is a core area driving the transition. He stated, “Today’s discussions have brought together forward-thinking ideas and actionable solutions, which will lay a solid foundation for us to move towards a low-carbon, resource-efficient, and climate-resilient future.”
He specifically commended the organizing committee for its efforts in advocating sustainable development through the IGBC platform and called on all stakeholders to seize this opportunity to collectively drive the transformative change of the built environment. “Let us join hands to build a greener and more sustainable world for future generations.”
